What are Corporate Wellness Programs?

These sessions are for companies who would like to offer their employees a wellness program that involves strength, flexibility, relaxation, and techniques for stress reduction. Sessions can also be curated for employees who engage in repetitive movements or who stay in one position for long periods of time.

The practice of yoga reduces not only one's level of perceived stress, but also the physical stress response. It can increase feelings of relaxation, reduce symptoms of anxiety, lower heart rate, and lower amounts of the stress hormone cortisol. After just 6 weeks of a yoga intervention, participants scored significantly lower in levels of burnout, interpersonal disengagement, anxiety, depression, and work exhaustion. They also scored higher in professional fulfillment (Workplace Health and Safety, 2020). Yoga improves one's cognition, performance on memory tasks, and ability to focus attention (Exercise Psychology Lab, 2012/2013).
