
This is a beginner-friendly, trauma-informed yoga session that focuses on creating a felt sense of groundedness and centeredness in the body. This practice uses the breath in conscious, intentional ways to soothe the nervous system, allowing us to enter a state of rest and relaxation. Gentle yoga invites participants to explore ways in which one can support oneself, rather than trying to push themselves to their limits. This practice encourages a greater sense of self-awareness, which allows us to be more conscious of our and others' needs. It helps us understand what our needs are, and how much is enough. It invites us to listen to the needs of our bodies so we can learn how to better respond.
